We are pleased to announce entries are now open for our Colchester Winter Pickleball Champs, taking place on Sunday 15th February 2026 at University of Essex Colchester Campus, Colchester CO4 3SQ.

The event takes place on 10 courts on an wooden surface. We will be using Gamma Photon Indoor ball. 

Categories for this tournament to include:

Men’s Doubles / Women’s Doubles / Mixed Doubles

Age categories; 18+ (Open) and 50+

3 skill levels 3.0, 3.5 and 4.0 +. Please note we may combine skill levels subject to number of entries and to ensure you have as many matches as possible to compete in.

Round robin matches, followed by knockout for those that qualify and medals – gold, silver and bronze. Guaranteed a minimum of 4 matches, but hopefully more for all depending on the number of entries and how you progress in the event.

There is no registration fee for this event. The entry fee per person per event is £25 each. 

You can enter one of both gender sex and mixed doubles.

A pickleball event for all skill levels. Designed to give all the opportunity to have fun and compete against similar like-minded players.

Anticipated Schedule for the day, but TBC will be:

• Registration from 9am for men’s and women’s doubles.
• Practice courts available from 9am.
• 9.30am Men’s and Ladies doubles round robin starts, followed by semi’s and finals.
• Registration from 1.30pm for mixed doubles.
• Practice courts for Mixed doubles from 1.30pm.
• 2pm Mixed doubles round robin starts followed by semi’s and finals.

Please note the above times are only estimated and are subject to change. Your first match time will be confirmed by email once the draw has taken place.
